Carrick on Bannow Farrell family
« on: Wednesday 26 September 18 10:56 BST (UK) »
Patrick Farrell was born approx 1864 in the Carrick on Bannow area. His father may be Michael and mother Mary. In 1890 he married Mary Berry and in 1901 they are all. including Michael on Furlongs lane/Bride street area of Wexford town. I think he has two sisters, Catherine b.1857 and Bridget b.1865.
I have been going through the catholic parish registers for births but can't find him, although they are difficult to read. Any help, guidance appreciated. Thanks

Thank you both.
Dathai, I've got Catherine marrying James Mcmahon/Mahoney and having two kids. Bridget marrying John Byrne too. Tricky reading the place name for the Bridget birth. Mother Ellen?
If it was Mary Ellen, there is a death in 1882 for Mary Farrell that fits, husband is Michael.
Much appreciated.

One of Patrick's Grandchildren living in Wexford town is certain he's from Carrick on Bannow though.
I think his father Michael may have died in the workhouse in 1905.

Now that you know mother's maiden name if you click on Link I posted then select Marriages you can easily find the Marriage, plus their father's details.
