John STANBRIDGE (d.1758), Papermaker of Burpham (Worplesdon parish), appears to have been a son of Robert STANBRIDGE of Albury, Surrey, John being baptised in 1695 in Albury. John had a wife called Elizabeth, and it is suspected that he was the John STANBRIDGE who married an Elizabeth NECKLAND on September 27, 1741 in Worplesdon. In his Will of 1758 John left part of his estate to his “late wife's niece Mary HEATH, wife of George HEATH, to divide between the family and her”, she also being his sole executrix. Mary HEATH was either the Mary BURT (or BIRT) (d.1793) (dau. of Rachel BURT (nee
??) - d.1794) of Worplesdon, who married George HEATH (c1727-1793) of Stoke (Blacksmith), by banns, in Worplesdon on May 8, 1755, or else she was the Mary FRANKS who had married George HEATH (Husbandman)(d.1772) in Worplesdon on October, 1, 1727. the latter Mary was probably the Mary HEATH buried in woollen in Worplesdon on 16-10-1764.
