oh dear me
« on: Sunday 30 September 18 19:56 BST (UK) »
Today - I was sorting a branch up there in Scotland.. and found someone who was working the same tree.

We have the same names all the way from 5th gg's up ...

BUT even though we have both done the TEST

we do not have a match..................................................................................................
Ancestry say this person does NOT have a match..

it just gets worse for me..  I get more confused with it all the time.

However.........  I will check with my cousin to see if she is a match with him and if so then there is a blip.. in my relationships somewhere.. and as has been stated previously ----- somebody was adopted along the way!!!! ofgooodness sake.

Oooer, how frustrating.
Something wrong somewhere, perhaps the fairies left them!
Let us know how you go on with that.

If you read the Ancestry FAQ on their tests, they tell you that autosomal testing will miss 68% of relatives. Ot's just the way the cookie chromosome crumbles. Oh, and in ancestry, for fifth cousins, they only show matches  of closer relatives (4th and closer).
Thomas, Davies, Jones, Walters, Daniel in Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion. That should narrow it down a bit!
Vincent: Fressingfield, Suffolk, Stockton & Sunderland.
Murtha/Murtaugh: Dundalk & Sunderland
Ingram: Cairnie by Huntly, Scotland then Abergavenny, Monmouthshire.
Bardouleau: London - in memory of my stepmother Annie Rose née Bardouleau who put up with a lot from me.

Thank you for that, the poor lad was worried about his dukedom I think as for me.. not a shred of doubt .. that they are NOT my lot :)  or well maybe a fraction..

why is it with Scots rellies you seem to get past 9th gg and they seem to lead to a Laird.. this evening I had them coming from all sides.  too complicated for me..

Duncans - Edgars - Jameson- and others that have left the brain to re-coup itself.
