And a slightly belated welcome to Rootschat from me  :)

A good site to check for siblings is the General Register Office (free to register and search)
https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/login.asp
Birth registered Mar qtr 1902 Newcastle vol 10b p68 FINNEY Joseph Henry mmn HAUGHTON
Birth registered Jun qtr 1905 Newcastle vol 10b p65 FINNEY Catherine mmn HAUGHTON

If you can find him on the 1911 census (FamilySearch https://www.familysearch.org/ is free to register and search - it has transcriptions, but no images) this should give you ages and birthplaces for parents.

you mention you have access to Ancestry (with a subscription?) so the 1911 census and 1939 register for more details should be available to you there.
