Thank you all so much for your replies, this is great.  Thank you Bookbox and Ray for finding the photo in 1938 of the shop.  It is the first time I've seen it as a newsagent, even if it was after my ancestor vacated, it's fantastic to see how it would have been.  I will be sure to contact the Westminster Archives to see if they have anything further in picture.

Thanks Shaun for the 1912 directory listing as well, great to see the list of shops in New Street at the time.
