Nicholites "New Quakers"
« on: Tuesday 02 October 18 06:40 BST (UK) »
Hi all ..I started looking for Nichols (of many spellings) in the direction of Joseph Nichols attributed with being the charismatic leader in the beginning of the Nicholites  ..Most references had him as being born circa  1730 and passing end of 1770s ....One reference was to probate oct 15 1799...From many references written publications  online  it directed me to an old Ancestry board reference connecting his supposed wife Mary Tomlin and the family of Jeremiah Nickersen  possibly father of  Joseph Nickols  ...There is Kent county Delaware near Dover mentioned for place of origin for Joseph and Barnstable also ...Thanks very much in advance for unfogging my glasses Craig....Does anyone have proof of birth of Joseph Nichols to Jeremiah Nickersen ?
