Mahony/Vaughan from Newtown Maxwell
« on: Wednesday 03 October 18 21:20 BST (UK) »
I'm looking for any information and a marriage for John Mahony and Hannah/Johanna Vaughan which may have taken place about 1881 in Charleville or nearby. Their only child James was born on 11th August 1882 in Newtonmaxwell and baptised on 13 Aug 1882 in Charleville. I have those details but can't find a marriage and I don't know where they were from. There is a John Mahony, Widower, death on 4 Jun 1897 aged 70, it says from Newtown, which may be him, but it says daughter Anne present, so not sure. Any clues welcome. He worked most of his life in the British army.

Yes I have tried all options. I'm thinking maybe the records fro Charleville are missing for that year. So I'm just hoping maybe some other Vaughan or Mahony families might recognise the family. Is there still an area known as Newtownmaxwell. Its in 1901 census, but not in 1911
