The Keatings of Rathkeale
« on: Friday 05 October 18 10:42 BST (UK) »
Hello,  I am doing some family tree research and am looking into the Keatings of Rathkeale,  My maternal grandmother was a Mary Molly Keating (born 1894), and her parents I believe were William Keating and Ellen Keating.
(I know my grandmother Mary Molly Keating later married Patrick Lyons, but I am interested in finding out what happened her siblings.)

As far as I know there was :

Susan Keating  (listed as 4 years old in 1901 census)
Ann Keating (also known as Annie)   (listed as 2 years old in 1901 census)
Michael Keating (listed as 5 years old in 1901 census)
Nonie Keating (also known as Nora) (listed as 1 month old in 1901 census)

William Keating was listed as being originally from Cork on the 1901 census, and his occupation was listed as Confectioner,  However on the 1911 census he is listed as Pedlar and his place of birth is listed as Limerick. His wife Ellen Keating was listed as being originally from County Limerick.
They seem to have lived in Church Street Rathkeale in 1901 and in 14 Boherbee in Rathkeale in 1911.
I would love to hear from any descendants of the Keatings, who might know more about the Keating family of Rathkeale.
Thanks

Mannix, Lyons, Ives,

You are better off researching them yourself at your leisure, and can then return as and when new discoveries are made or when Images get updated etc... rather than someone putting up Links and you don't learn how to research them.

Wm's marriage is there, so they didn't marry in Cork but as you'll see he was from Charleville.... you get both their father's names from Marriage.
