I saw an Arthur Guy and the  solicitor but skipped it as I thought you wanted info on Eva.

So the Eva E Guy who married Daniel Hockin that I found earlier looks a strong possibility:

A possible marriage of an Eva E Guy to a Daniel Hockin
Q2 1921 Cardiff 11a 504

This couple do appear on the 1939  but I can't give you the details on here.

Do you know her birthdate?

Sorry

Yes I was forwarded a court case affecting Eva being neglected in 1903

But I feel that there's a connection with Eva and Arthur because they have Richard Saunders as there father !!

She was born 1898/9

And both have guy as the mother ??

Regards Phil

Sorry - I don't understand your last posting.

I found an Eva E Guy, b. 1898 in Glamorgan. I followed her through to a possible marriage (with ref) and the couple on the 1939.

You've not mentioned any of this information, or even 'thanks for looking'

Note that the Eva E with the Bergs in 1901 has a surname that is more like Grey than Guy. However, if it is her, the later information that I've found would tie in with this record.

Did you get her birth cert?

It might be worth getting the marriage cert that I reference just to check. It's probably the only way of finding out.

Or, if you had her birth date, you could check it against the 1939 Register.

Eva with the Bergs is the Eva we want. Reports of the cruelty case from 1903 include  witness Elizabeth Ann Berg, who had been looking after the child until Richard (who is her father) removed her, possibly because he couldn't afford the nurse child fees. The un-named birth mother was a servant of the Maunders when Mrs Maunder was herself pregnant

Eva is referred to as Guy, also known as Morris

She's potentially on 1911 as Eva Morris, boarding with the Jenkins or Jenthins family in Cadoxton
