On Mary's marriage record 1912 does it state both parents were still living?

Ann Kane Farrell's death
As she is described as a 'pauper' it would be worth investigating what information you can glean from the Parochial Board records (Poor Law).

Start here https://www.glasgowfamilyhistory.org.uk/ExploreRecords/Pages/Poor-Law.aspx

If Ann's records have survived they may tell you in which parish in Ireland she was born.

Noting from the 1874 marriage reg that it was an RC marriage, there looks to be at least one RC baptism showing for Annie and James:

Archibald FARRELL
Parents JAMES FARRELL/ANN CANE
b. 16/6/1877 and chr. 30/6/1877
at Coatbridge, St Patrick's, Lanark
