There is a Petition for Naturalization that was signed on 23 Nov. 1936, and it also says Charles was not married.  His address was 42 Green St. in Hartford.

In the 1936 Hartford city directory, there is this:
Terry, John, shipping clk 285 Broad, resides 42 Green

No Charles Terry in that directory.  Could John be his middle name?  Or a relative of his?

It appears he died in 1940 after getting into a fight. His grave marker has correct year of death. Newspapers articles state he was age 32(1908) in 1940.

Thank you Shellyesq charles had a sad end unfortunately very young. You mention a John Terry - Charles did have an uncle John Terry (his fathers brother) John was born c. 1870 to parents William Terry & Catherine Walsh.  I found him on Irish census in 1901 age 30 & no trace on 1911 irish census or civil records so he too must have immigrated after 1901 census. :)
