Phillip Roper Chambers
« on: Monday 08 October 18 16:56 BST (UK) »
Phillip Roper Chambers was married on 17 July 1910 at Leybourne, Kent (reg Malling).

I have no other details (found him by following his wife Edith).

Can anybody help with where and when he was born? I've failed to find any trace in the censuses or BMDs  :'(

Colonel Charles Chambers - Madras Army - died 5th March 1898.

On Philip Roper Chamber's marriage to Edith Mary Blackbourne-Maze (widow, nee Meares) his occupation is recorded as Captain 10th Lancers.

He reached the rank of Colonel.

Bedfordshire Times and Independent 23 March 1945 has an article about his death. He left a widow and a son who was a Commander in the Royal Navy.
