Baptism of Elizabeth FRAZIER poss Finchley, London abt 1845

Hoping for some assistance to locate the baptism of Elizabeth FRAZIER poss Finchley, London abt 1845.  Slightly different locations were recorded in each census year however her year of birth remains constant. 

Based on census records from 1881 to 1911 Elizabeth was born in;
1881  - London, Middlesex
1891 -  London, City [she was listed as Eliza]
1901 -  London
1911 -  London [Finchley].  After Finchley someone has questioned which Parish in Finchley.

Elizabeth was the second wife of John Fardell SHELTON and as yet I have not located her death. To date I have located only one child to the couple. Albert born 1881 Herne Hill, Surrey and died Surrey 1943.

John Fardell SHELTON died in Lewisham, Kent, England and buried 01 Feb 1917 Hither Green [subject of other posts].

In the 1901 Census Albert was bording at Reigate, Surrey.

So it may be that Elizabeth died between the 1911 census and 1939 as she is not living with her son Albert.  I was not able to locate a marriage Parish record for Elizabeth & John SHELTON which may have identified her father.

the records 'fit'.

i will see if I can find a link to a name of Albert as this may provide some additonal circumstantial evidence from which to consider the query.

Albert was a name that had not appeared in the SHELTON line not that that rules out anything either.

Can't easily see a death so far for 1st Elizabeth  Eliza Frazer born c 1854 shows with parents at home in 1871.  Mother Frances showing with a maiden surname of Williams. There are a number of A/try trees online for this family group but they don't help with the issue of the two Elizabeths...

Thank you so much for this information and the research that has supported your post. 

Based on your post Elizabeth aged 6 in the 1851 census would have been born about 1845.  The Eliza aged 7 in the 1861 census would have been born about 1854.  A 9 year gap.

Its interesting that Elizabeth/Eliza maintains her approx. age throughout the census as follows:
1881: Elizabeth aged 35 born London Middlesex [therefore birth about 1846]
1891: Eliza aged 45 born London Middlesex [therefore birth about 1846]
1901: Elizabeth aged 54 born London Middlesex [therefore birth about 1847]
1911: Elizabeth aged 65 born London Finchley [therefore birth about 1846]

Elizabeth married John at Ealing Oct-Dec 1877 registered.  I have not been able tolocate an actual Parish record for the marriage.

There is a John Shelton who marries Elizabeth Frazier 1877 Brentford, October quarter.

As you have already found 1911 census Elizabeth states she has had one child born of that marriage and is still living, this would be Albert.
Number of years married is 41 that would apply to John as he was married twice, he and Elizabeth had been married 34 years.
Emma 9 and Fanny 6 from 1881 census have mothers maiden name of Wilkinson, was that his first wife?
