William Prinsep/ Princep/Prinssop
« on: Friday 12 October 18 15:39 BST (UK) »
Hello,
Would anyone go to Warwick RO and look up William Princep for me.
Ancestry only have records dating from 1601 and I have William born about 1595. RO does have earlier records though.
I also have him married to Alice Wheatley (1605-1677)  in 1627. Apart from these two facts I know nothing else about him.
I would appreciate any help with this
All the best
Carolyn

You don't say where in Warwickshire he was married or where he was likely to be born

So sorry.
William was married in Newton Regis and his descendants were all born there. Alice Wheatley was also born and married in Newton so he was probably born there. This is a guess obviously.

Familysearch apparently have the records from 1591 but they are very feint

Morning,
Many thanks for your help and the link. Unfortunately I can't read the very faint entries, I expect the Prinsep research will have to stop here unless someone is kind enough to do a look up for me,
Regards
Carolyn

I suspect that the register which is available to view at the record office could be the same film as that available online.  The poor quality is probably why Ancestry have not transcribed it either.
