Susannah Whitaker nee Stowell

Hi,

Can anyone please help me trace the details of Susannah Whitaker nee Stowell, she was born in Keighley about 1819 and married Thomas Whitaker in 1844 in Keighley. I can see her on the census for 1841 and 1851 but seems to disappear after then. I have checked deaths for Susannah but I am unable to find a suitable entry.

Have you found Thomas in 1861?  What is his marital status?

When was their last child born?

1851 shows an 11yr old son b Derbyshire which does not fit an 1844 marriage?  Was he Susannah's son or was Thomas previously married?

Have you already discounted the 1858 death in Keighley?

I have searched the 1871 census and neither Thomas or Susannah appear. As far as I am aware Susannah was not previously married but I don't know about Thomas.

Here's the 1861 reference - I used son Thomas aged 4mths in 1851 to find them in 1861.  Susannah is a widow

Hi, thank you for that information I now can see them on the 18621 census. It was becoming frustrating as they didn't appear when I did the search.

Death in Sept qtr 1853 could be Thomas - aged 34  None of the other Thomas Whitaker deaths in Keighley match the age
