The Old Low Light Heritage Centre on North Shields Fish Quay🐟 is currently displaying the '100 Hearts War Stories Project' exhibition by the Embroiderers Guild Uk.  This is their commemoration of those who took part in the Great War.

The textile artists involved in this work have created images based on individual stories and have stitched these onto hearts.

This exhibition will be on display until 30 November 2018.

I wish you could come along as well mowsehowse.

I read about this exhibition last night in my local paper and thought this might interest some RootsChatters as much as it does to me.  That heart shown in the link looks so beautiful - I wish I was that talented to be able to make something like that to commemorate my Great War ancestors.

I do plan to go along to see this exhibition as soon as my work and other commitments permit.  I will let you know more on this after I have been and will keep you posted if I come across any more photos or articles in the press.

You have a nice day too, mowsehowse. :)
