1871 Census - handwriting help

Hi everyone,

I'm hoping someone can help me read the 'occupation' of Arthur F. Parker on the 1871 Census?

Noting that his father is a surgeon, I would suggest "surgeon's pupil"

It looks as if the Surgeon is squashed in after the Pupil was written.  Also, looks as if it is possibly written  in a different hand than the Surgeon opposite his father.

I read it as 'Surgeon's Pupil' before seeing the other replies.

Now that you say it, definitely looks like surgeon's pupil and makes sense!
