Berwickshire Militia, Dunse
« on: Sunday 14 October 18 18:20 BST (UK) »
Trying to get info on my 3xgrt grandfather, James Lidgate, b;1776. I believe in 1805 he was a Sergeant in the Berwickshire Militia, Dunse. Any info, pointers, will help.

The militia were the responsibility of the county authorities rather than the War Office so from that point of view the militia records appear to be these:

There may of course be other, non military records but not my field!

It is with great difficulty I share with you that in the early hours of 07 August 2021, Maximilian passed away unexpectedly but peacefully.

With deep sadness,
