Im trying to find out who Alice is ,and the daughter too,yes ive seen the free bmd .I cant confirm if this it the right one until i know exactly who her parents are .

The only way that you can confirm whether she is who you think is to order the birth certificate, that should give her parents names.

yes in agreement there ,its a bit of a needle in a haystack ,but that is the only way to start ruling out any of the names that fit by year .

The Evett birth alluded to in 1949 has the mother's maiden name as Skipper

I would examine the 39 Register entry, see if it says when they were informed of the change from Bennett to Evett?

Can't see a marriage for Alice Bennett to make her an Evett.

There's an Alice M Evett at 39 Garvary Road, Custom House, in 1964 and 1965.
No idea if it's the same lady, but there aren't many Alice Evetts.
Other names at same address are a female Bennett (64) and a male Brown (64, 65)

Hi ,we dont know anything about Alice apart from she was in 24 Kirkwall Place Bethnal Green with James Leslie Evett 1949 .James and Alice  had a daughter .There was a family story of James adopting a boy,which i assume would have been Alice's son from a previous relationship   .I did find the Alice M Skipper you spoke of (unmarried mother Skipper) .That one does fit and now that you have said there was a son to Alice in 1936 with W.F  Bennett  that does help and a bit more info for me to research,i cant find any marriage for Alice and James Evett either .James wasn't at that address with Alice in 1950  because  he married another woman in 1951.
