I've just tried that and get  no results, but then I've never understood that site

Its easy just put in Cornelius Rimmington with All types and you should get his death registration too  https://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/search.pl

ADDED if you have newspaper access there are quite a few articles /family notices for him

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

I came across this thread after researching Cornelius Rimmington of Selby, Yorkshire.

Cornelius Rimmington of Selby Yorkshire, married 3 times (already mentioned in Rosie & BumbleB posts), 1862 (quoted from newspaper below); 1872 to Fanny Whitworth, Daughter of Henry Whitworth, M.D., of St Agnes, at the Wesleyan Chapel, St Agnes (from newspaper) and in 1881 to Annie Liversidge Daughter of William Liversidge, Timber Merchant, marriage at Bolton, Yorkshire (Certificate online - subscription site).
 ----------
The Death Certificate of Arthur Appleton, Pharmaceutical Chemist, 34 Brook Street, Selby, has been added later to our Family papers. The Leeds Death Certificate mentions Informant, E. M. Rimmington, Brother in Law, 32 Brook Street, Selby, hence part of my interest in this line of the Rimmington family.

In the 1892 the newspaper says:- Appleton - Appleyard.- On June 1st, at the Wesleyan Chapel, Selby, by the Rev. D. Newman, Arthur Appleton, Chemist, Selby, third son of the late John Appleton, of Middleton-on-the-Wolds, to Mary, eldest daughter of Mr G. W. Appleyard, Brayton Road, Selby.
 ----------
Edward Marsh Rimmington
1881 Census at 128 Gowthorpe, Selby, Edward M Rimmington, 3, born Yorkshire Selby, was the Son of Cornelius Rimmington, Wid'r 47, born Yorkshire, Gateforth. Incidentally, Edith M Rimmington, Dau, 16, born Warwickshire, Birmingham.

July 1862 newspaper
Rimmington - Goodall.- On the 8th inst., at Wesley Chapel, Constitution Hill, Mr Cornelius Rimmington, of Selby, to Rosaline, youngest daughter of Mr Emanuel Goodall, of High Street, Birmingham.
 ----------
Regarding this Rimmington of Gateforth Family there is a whole chapter published in The Genealogist.

 ----------
The same family Rimmington of Gateforth also had property links to Pontefract 18th Century see ...
YAS (Yorkshire Archaeological Society) collected the Family documents, which were subsequently deposited at the University of Leeds Library, YAS DD212 [probably Special Collections Library]

There is a pdf handlist online 'Rimmington of Gateforth Collection'

 ----------
It seems Rimmington was not related to my family, but were distantly linked and by marriages to people mentioned in one of the property Deeds owned by my ancestor George Hood of Selby.
 ----------
If John Hood of Mariner of Selby (buried Selby 1819) is related to us, John Hood was an Occupier of a house owned by John Spencer. William Rimmington and Others are mentioned in the transfer from John Turner to John Spencer, Grocer and Gentleman, a relative of the Spencer Family of Conisbrough. See Reply 9 ...

Incidentally, the Rimmington family are related by Marriages to Judson and therefore to the Spencer Family of Conisbrough Park.

 ---------
Also William Rimmington married Mary Himsworth of Carlton, Snaith, Yorkshire, another reason for me to look into Rimmington, because a Himsworth of the same Parish was related to another associate of George Hood of Selby. There is a bit of a Rimmington descent in the Carlton Baptism Register (see the Dades version).
