Latin translation to English
« on: Wednesday 17 October 18 22:08 BST (UK) »
Hi

I have come across what I believe to be a death record for John(Giovanni) Fuoco found in Giuseppe Fuoco marriage processetti, It is in Latin and I need it to be tanslated.

Thanks in advance

“In the year of the Lord one thousand eight hundred and three, the twentieth day of the month of June, Giovanni Fuoco of the region of Acquafondata in the diocese of Venafro, aged 60 years, at his home, gave up his soul to God, received the sacrament in communion with the holy church, was assisted in the commission of his soul, and his body was buried in the church of St John the Baptist of the said region, and in faith etc.
Filippo Gagliardi, managing priest”

As it appears from the Book of the Deceased, and it is witnessed accordingly
Valid for the use/purpose of marriage*
Given at Acquafondata on the first day of the month of January one thousand eight hundred and forty-four

     * I’m not sure what this phrase means. Perhaps this is a copy of the original death record, made on 1 January 1844 for entry in a book of marriage records?

Thank you for the translation.

This death record for Giovanni was included when his grandson(Giuseppe) was getting married in 1844,

Thank you again
