1871 census - 10yr old inmate - Clapham road - Lambeth
« on: Friday 19 October 18 10:07 BST (UK) »
Hi  :)

I have an 1871 census of a William Wood aged 10 years old - classified as an inmate . . .

The words I am looking at deciphering are the all the words under the road - street - house . . .

And is that Stocktees - Lambeth . . . ?

Also where it says where born - what is the word before the Bermondsey . . .

If it helps all the children on the list are boys - no girls what so ever . . .

There is just one boy aged 14 the rest are of a younger age varying from one at 6 years old then more in between these ages . . .

Many thanks in advance - Indy . . .

Indy - you mean the 1871 census rather than 1861, I think?

The orphanage had been founded in 1867:
