AM calm and hazy
Rec’d fresh beef 275 lbs and vegetables 136 lbs
Lower Deck …  Weighed and brought on board kedge and empl’d preparing for sea.  Boatswain
& Carpenter with their parties at work on board the Brig as hitherto. Completed water for Pinnace
and lost overboard by accident two pair of  Butt Hinges
PM moderate and fine
Employed variously. Parties left the brig. Shortened in to 25 …
Sunset up boats, & in Pinnace
at 6 departed this life   cannot read the name - J. Henrye?? Hodge???
Mid(nigh)t. Calm & fine

The surname looks like Aldridge to me  :-\  Cabin Crew?

It looked a bit like that to me too, but look at the A of AM right at the start

It looked a bit like that to me too, but look at the A of AM right at the start

It could be Oldridge.

That’s not a surnam I’m familiar with, but looks more like it, and there are naval men with that name of the right era, , so I’m going with that.  Thank you for looking

This list of HMS Blonde's crew's pay allotments from 1834 may be helpful for your transcription work.

I think the words that follow Aldridge in the log entry are "(Carp. crew)" = Carpenter's crew
