How can you get a copy of a marriage certificate or birth certificates from India ?

It would help chatters to  advise you if you gave some indication of the nationality of the people you are looking for. The time scale and  some names would also help.

They married in 1921.
The bride I am unsure as to ethnicity altho born in India not found  baptism record .  The bridegroom had parents born in India..the father had a passport to England in1935.  Groom was also born in India and was baptised in Fort William, Bengal .

HIV Another couple who married in India.. believed to be British Service Man and an Indian born lady with a ? British passport.
is it possible to obtain marriage certificates?  I have all the information ie dates and names etc.

Findmypast have the index for service marriages overseas, if you don’t subscribe perhaps your local library has access. Certificates can be  ordered from the GRO in the normal way.
