« on: Monday 22 October 18 06:43 BST (UK) »
I am looking for the marriage of Patrick Hagan/O'Hagan and Anna Maria Reilly, I have them on the 1901 and 1911 censuses but cannot find when they were wed!

Any details would be greatly appreciated.

You found him on the Passenger List.
Patrick Hagan (originally O'Hagan).  Dep. Queenstown 10/11/14 on the Orduna, bound for New York. Listed as single, he had a wife and child in Carrigallen, Leitrim.

Shelly asked...  The passenger list says his last residence and place of birth was Rooskey, and his mother was Mrs. Annie Hagan, Moher, Rooskey, Co. Roscommon.  Is that definitely your guy?

______________

Aghadowey asked   But is that him on that manifest?
Other details are age 21, born Booskey [sp?], mother Mrs. Annie Hagan of Moher, Rooskey, Co. Roscommon

Based on the comment about wife & child in Carrigallen I thought this looked more likely to be the Hagan family in 1901- and Patrick's age 20 there, with parents James & Catherine-

If the details offered by Hallmark are correct, then this is James Joseph’ s birth

As you write, there does not seem to be a marriage for Patrick Hagan  and
Anna Maria Reilly listed in the civil records.

Patrick's parents are Catherine nee Reilly and James. AS his wife Anna Maria was also nee Reilly, that's why I wondered if the Reilly's on the passenger list could be relatives.  I would dearly love to know what happened to him in U.S. hence post on U.S. board.

I am in the process of seeing if there was a  Patrick O'Hagan/Hagan born in Rooskey.

I have the baptismal certificate for JJ.

From the other thread
Just an FYI - it helps to write out the month, because 10/11/14 is October 11, 1914 in my part of the world.

The passenger list says his last residence and place of birth was Rooskey, and his mother was Mrs. Annie Hagan, Moher, Rooskey, Co. Roscommon.  Is that definitely your guy?

On the second page of the passenger list, it says he was going to join his sister Mary Hagan, 311 West 15th Street, New York.

If you have a date of birth for him, that might make him easier to find.

Here is Patrick Hagan, 17 yrs with mother Ann in 1911 in Moher.

http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Roscommon/Kilglass_South/Moher/789364/

So not your Patrick. It looks to be coincidence that he is with the Reillys.

Did you get the baptism certificate for J J from the church? I wonder did you ask for a search for a marriage? The records may not have been passed to civil records.
