national Archives Lookup
« on: Thursday 11 August 05 15:25 BST (UK) »
Hi Manmack
You seem to know what you're doing when it comes to medal cards ! I have managed to get a copy of my great grandfather's medal card but don't really understand what it tells me. Especially about what medals he got. Could you help ?
Thanks
Louise

Hi there
I have details of my great grandfather who served in WW 1. The problem is I can't get to The national archives, I live in N.Ireland. Does anyone do lookups there or is that asking a bit much ? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Louise

Hi manmack
My great grandfathers name was Robert J Johnston. He served in The Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers and he was a Sergent. His army number was 15209, he surviveds the war and was from Donegal. He definately has one medal but I have never seen it as it is in the possession of my uncle.
How do I insert the medal card image. ( I know thick or what !)
I'll keep trying with the image
Thanks
Louise
