1861 census Birkenhead
« on: Friday 06 August 04 09:45 UTC (UK) »

Hi all,
Does anybody have access to the 1861 census for birkenhead, I looking for RG9/2640 Folios 45a & 64b. John & Ann Heron had their son James at 10 Mersey Place in 1864, I'm hoping to find them there in 1861.

Do you still need the look up for John and Ann Heron in Birkenhead?

Hi Ange,
I tried looking for the Birkenhead census this morning but could only find the Wirral one, the library was quite busy, so I didn't get chance to ask about it, but I'm sure I've seen one for Birkenhead, not just the Wirral, I'll be going back later this week.
If you don't want to wait, they will do a 15 minute free search for you.
If you want their e-mail address let me know.
Regards
Viv

Hi Viv,
I'll see you there then, Donna (munchies) and I have decided to have a day there. I was going to say that we were going so I'd do it myself Grin

Have you got your machines booked, as it always seems to be busy lately?

Yes, we managed to get a couple booked. It always seems very busy whenever we go, does it have quiet days?

It never seems to be quiet until after 5pm then you can usually get a machine with no problem, but alot of people can't get there then, When I'm not going to my evening job I go there about 5pm, it's easy to get a parking space then as well.
Do you know if Donna has any more censuses for Oswestry at all?
She found my ancestors on the 1871 for me and I wondered if she had access to any earlier ones.
See you Monday.
