North Mavine Williamsons
« on: Friday 06 August 04 13:47 BST (UK) »
Is there anyone with an interest in the Williamsons who were in North Mavine in the late 18th century?  I know there were a lot of Williamsons; my ancestor was Gilbert, born in 1770 to John Williamson and Grisel Scott.  Any information would be appreciated.
Godden in East Sussex, mainly Hastings area.
Richards in Lea, Gloucestershire, then London.
Williamson in Leith, Vickers in Nottingham.
Webb in Bildeston and Colchester.
Wesbroom in Kirby le Soken.
Ellington in Harwich.
Park, Palmer, Segar and Peartree in Kersey.

I'm interested in all Shetland families, trouble is that documentary evidence is so sparse that, such as with this family, nothing exists prior to John and Grisel.

I am tracking a couple of Shetland Williamsons Johan and William
William the father married Margaret Davidson they had Johan in 1821 she married a John Williamson from South Leith on July 19 1841
There may have been another daughter Isabella b. Leith in 1830
Any help?
