Look up required for Sheffield 1861
« on: Friday 06 August 04 23:50 BST (UK) »
Hi

I have discovered one of my ancestors via family history online, listed in the 1861 Sheffield District 1861 Census.

The info it gives is:

Name William Cutts age 38 birth place Kneesall, NTT Piece and folio 3469/56F.

Is this Sheffield 1861 Census the same as say the bigger 1881 Census and others? With this info, can someone look him up and tell me who/where he was living etc the same as you can on the other Census?

I've never had information from the Sheffield 1861 Census, so I havent got a clue what it provides!

Can someone check for me?

With thanks

Amending your title to read "1861 Yorkshire census, Sheffield, Refs Given" will increase your chance of someone picking up the posting and checking the ref.
