CARTER
« on: Thursday 01 September 05 11:00 BST (UK) »
Hello

I'm looking for William Bacon CARTER, he was born 1820 Chelmsford Essex, at the time of his first marriage 1847 his address was Kendal and at the time of his second marriage 1851 his address was again Kendal and occupation school teacher. Both marriages out of area.
I've found a W B  CARTER as headmaster of the National School, Kendal in 1850 don't know if this was him or coincidence of the same initals. He left for Australia 1852

Alleyne David CARTER (brother of William Bacon CARTER) born 1823 at Chelmsford, Essex died 1850 at Kendal, occupation teacher

What Schools were in Kendal at the time?
Are their records available?

Is the 1851 Census available for William Bacon CARTER and if so where was he living and with who?

Helen
