Lookup Please Royal Navy

Hi,

looking for John Windley (b 1842 Chigwell Essex).
He was in the Royal navy census 1871 (Pylades - Portsmouth).
Haven't been able to find him at the 1861 census (on land).
So maybe he was already with the Royal Navy in 1861 (he would have been about 19 yrs old).
Can anyone try to find him for me (on land or on sea?).

Had a look land and sea for you with various wildcard spellings and no joy I'm afraid. Sorry
