Passengers - Norfolk to Cape Colony
« on: Wednesday 14 September 05 06:16 BST (UK) »
Somewhere between 1854 and 1876 Barnabas Critchfield SUTTON took his family from Norfolk to the British Cape Colony in South Africa.  He worked as a copper miner and is buried at O'okiep Cemetery, Northern Cape.

Time line for Barnabas Critchfield Sutton so far;  ;)

1817 born in Norwich, Norfolk Eng.
1850 Married Jane Jordan, Norfolk Eng.
1853 birth of daughter Margaret Lydia Sutton, Walsingham
1854 birth of daughter Sarah Eleanor Sutton, Walsingham
1854 Whites Directory - Draper in Little Walsingham
1855 (abt.) birth of daughter Jane Emma Sutton, Walsingham
1876 birth of Frank Sutton in Cape Colony - mother Sarah Eleanor Sutton
1890 died O'okiep 1/1/1890

I have checked 1841, 1851 and 1861 census for England and found Jane and her children never found Barnabas on an England census  ???

Passenger lists seem to be my only hope

Thank you
