Jeremiah Rule
« on: Thursday 12 August 04 09:40 BST (UK) »
An ancestor of my husband named Jeremiah Rule appeared in Whitehaven, Cumberland about 1720. He was a collier who worked in the newly opened coal mines. The name was passed on for a few generations and then faded out.
I would love to know of any Jeremiah Rules in Cumberland where they lived etc. Also if anyone has heard reference to the name earlier than 1800.
