PLEASE can anyone give me any details about Cynghordy hall, its believed my Gt Grandmother was the cook there

Hello Joanne,

Cynghordy Hall was the Estate of the Lloyde Family and the Jeffreys Family

There is a file held a Carmathenshire Archive Service which holds family and estate corruspondance and paperwork from 1523-1956 for the Lloyde's

Rootschat, i think the timescale i'm looking at is early 1890's as on my grandfathers birth certificate in 1894, she is listed as a cook

My family owned Cynghordy Hall from around 1880 to 1915.  After my great grfather purchased it he made extensive renovations and improvements.   I have lots of information and a few photographs from that era.  I donated copies of some of the info and photos to the Library in Llandovery.  Brad Jeffreys
