1841 census Richard Thomas is a scholar at Christ's Hospital London aged 10.
He migrated to NZ and married Mrs Elizabeth Ruff a mother of eight.
Death notice from the "Nelson Evening Mail" of Wednesday, 27 November, 1918 :
FLOWER - At the residence of his son-in-law, T. WOODWARD, Halifax Street, Richard Thomas FLOWER, aged 88 years.  (Private interment.)
