Hi all

I haven't been on this particular thread as they are not mine, I think so.  Have been busy with other threads, just wanted to let you know that I am still interested in the Poole's as I am beginning to think that they may all be related somehow.  I have got several wills for my Jeffrey Poole back to the 1600s.

I wouldn't be this far except for all the help from different people on this site.

John Poole was my great grandfather, Robert the farmer my great, great grandfather. My grandfather was John and Jane's son Albert. He married Elizabeth Magee and was in the 5th Dragoon Guards stationed near London. His first child Albert George died aged 3 and my Uncle Edwin was born there. They later moved to Liverpool, where Albert became a policeman. Other sons were Henry John (my father) and Robert James. Daughters were Ethel Miriam and Caroline

I also have an interest in the Poole family ( some mentioned in an earlier post)  and in my researches came across this:-
Wills:
October 26th 1798
Will of Joseph Poole, yeoman of Fox Farm, St Chad Shropshire
1R 26/353 cat.
Image No 301/638
Also there are several children born ( and died) to Joseph and Elisabeth Poole of Llandrinio in the mid 1700s. Can send details if they are of any interest to you.

Thank you for the information, but my Poole family were all born around Buttington and Trewern not Shropshire, though one of their wives was from there. I also have a great grandmother from Cardiff called Jane Thomas who married John Poole and I have little information about her, would love to know more.

Oh well it was just a try. Are you connected to the Garreg Poole family?
