This is turning into a real puzzle now!!

John Harvey is on the 1841, 1861 and 1871 Census records

So where is he in 1851???

In 1851, he would have been roughly 20yrs old.

Could someone search outside of Staffs. for him??

John Harvey was born in Armitage, Staffs in c1831

Please help me before i go mad..............!!!

Hi

1851 is searchable by name index only I'm afraid and as I'm sure you can appreciate there are ALOT of Harveys on it.

He might be in Lichfield if that's where Fanny is from.....I will have a quick look in Lichfield to see if he is there but I'm afraid I can't promise anything.

Hi

John might be easier to trace if you apply for the marriage certificate.  It will state on the certificate where they were living at the time of their marriage in 1853.

You have his parents in 1841 that was very kindly found by DMP (and believe me, the 1841 is no tea party to search through) so if he isn't with them in 1851 he could be absolutley anywhere :o

Regards

Sandra :)

I've found details of their marriage in 1853 which states that they were living in Armitage, Staffs at that time. (I've also ordered the certificate)

The only reason I can think for him not being in Staffs in 1851, is that he moved around for work. As many of the other members of my family, who were Coal Miners in Staffs, moved around to other countys eg Derbyshire.

But a big THANKS!! to everyone that has helped so far and keep trying for me  ;)
