Good advice from Sandy there as always :)

These are the rest of William and Susanna's children at Denford in the PRs:

Elizabeth bapt 3 April 1774
Rebecca bapt 6 Jun 1779 bur 9 Nov 1780
Rebeccah bapt 21 Sept 1783

There was a transcript for this period and it showed that Elizabeth's baptism was the first mention of Reynolds in the parish of Denford.

This could be a possible marriage for the parents at Cranford St John which is only 3 or 4 miles from Denford:

William Rennals otp, labourer and Susanna Maycock otp, spinster married 25 Aug 1771.
Witnesses John Gray and James (Mills?)

This couple had no children baptised at Cranford St John.

Unfortunately they don't seem to have been baptised there themselves either  :(

Back to Denford:

Susannah the wife of William Reynolds pauper bur 13 Jan 1794

Which fits nicely with his remarriage to Ann the next year.

Ann wife of William Reynolds bur 30 Dec 1800

William Reynolds labourer bur 7 Apr 1807

Hope that all makes sense!

Many thanks for that byron and it does all make sense. I had picked up on the Cranford St John marriage being a possible but its nice to have dates of burial as well. As you say, good advice from Sandy, but many thanks to you also for your time. I am very grateful. Best wishes  Linda.

Hi linmey

I quite agree that we should appreciate all.  ;D

Don't forget that Steve Garton has transcribed all the parish records for the 2 Cranfords if you need baps etc.

Cheers Sandy

Hi,

i'm not sure if we've discussed this before, but here goes with my latest findings.

John was my 3rd gt grandfather.

He was born John Rennels in 1777 in Denford and died 1871 in Pertenhall.
He was married to Elizabeth Tandy.
They had 8 children then when Elizabeth died in 1815, he married Jane Mumford in 1819 in Pertenhall and they had 2 children.

John (1777) was son of William (1752 - Woodford) and Susannah Maycock (1748 - Bythorn)

William (1752) was son of John Reynolds (1724 - Chipping Warden) and Ann Harks (1724 - Byfield)

John (1724) was son of John Reignolds (1698 - Edgcote - note change of spelling) and Mary Hall (1704 - Chipping Warden)

John (1698) was son of Thomas Reignolds (1669 - Boddington) and Elizabeth (name unknown).

Thomas (1669) was son of Thomas (1645 - Boddington) and Jane (name unknown)

Thomas (1645) was son of Albam Reignolds (1625 - Boddington) - mother not yet known.

Albam was my 9th Gt grandfather.

I hope this may be of help.

Alison

Hi Alison,
That makes us cousins then. Thank you for the information.

Are you descended from John (1777) and Jane Mumford?

We must be cousins indeed.

John and Jane had James (Rennels/Reynolds) in 1820 in Pertenhall.

James 1820 married Martha Baxter (9 children) and Mary Fletcher (6 children).

My Gt Grandad was one of the children with Mary Fletcher. He was Daniel Reynolds (1875) who married Emma Dora Mills.

They had 10 children and my Grandad was 4th in line (James 1906).

My Mum was his 4th daughter (3 with wife 1 - Mattie Barnett), the Mum and two boys with wife 2 - Kathleen Sargent), then a later marriage with no children (due to age).

How does your line work?

Alison
