Served with honour and disabled in the Great War certificates
« on: Sunday 22 August 04 14:38 BST (UK) »
Hi,

I am hoping someone out there can help me. I have my Gt Gt Grandfathers Served with honour and disabled in the Great War certificate. It is a beautiful certificate done in blues and tans/browns/greys and quite large, it has Queen Britania on her throne with guards around her. My Gt Gt Grandfather was in the Royal Marines Light Infantry and was in the Dardenelles campaign. He was honourably discharged on 16th Nov 1915.

My question is where his name and service number is just before the service numbers it has a CH written.
What does the CH represent?

regards
Shannon

I believe that CH stands for Chatham.
