HUGHES, MCALOON, MCGUIRE

Looking for parents of Anna McGuire born Dec. 7, 1847 Enniskillen, Fermanagh, Ireland.  Patrick McGuire (b. @1825) married Mary McAloon (sp.?) b. Jan. 31, 1830. 

By 1850 Patrick and Mary were in the United States living in New Albany, Floyd Co., IN.  They had 2 more children in the US. James b. 1853 and Elizabeth b. 1856. 

By 1858, Patrick had abandoned the family (I guess) and Mary married Lawrence Hughes in Mitchell, Lawrence Co., IN in Oct. 1858. 

Anna says she didn't come over to the US until 1854 or 1856.  She also indicated that she converted to Catholicism at an early age.

i am assisting an australian rooney to research his great great grandfather patrick born in 1803 in fermanagh . married to elizabeth mcaloon and had 2 daughters ann who married mcconnell and catherine who died en route to nsw in 1838. we are tracking him to lough erne ares . island maybe. was involved in macken fight and transported in 1830.
