Date and tidy if poss,please

It's tricky to put a date on the photo because prams were often handed down and not necessarily bought new.  I would say the pram is pre-war (very deep with small wheels), the houses in the background look to be built any time from 1900 to 1950 and the bear could be any time after about 1920.  The baby is not dressed in frilly clothes which suggests to me that the picture dates from no earlier than the 1930s but could possibly be 1940s.

My gut feeling says late 1930s.  When was your dad born?

Caz the clean-up and colour are great, and I think the baby prefers the colour too 

Philip, My dad was born late August 1929.  He was an only child,  and we can't think who  else it could be.  For that time period in Glasgow, I think they were reasonably well off, but sadly, if it is my dad, he was fatherless just 6 yrs later.  My grandfather had a lot of contacts abroad, and we wonder if this is where the Teddy Bear came from.

I've had a look now that I'm at home and noticed the mark on the baby which I've removed.  I've also toned down the pics as they look very bright on my home monitor (they were done at work and my work monitor is not adjusted correctly  ).

Hi Caz,  Thank you  again , they are wonderful.  I never noticed the mark before.    I will send copies of these to my family.   From one old copy many new ones will grow, lovely isn't it...   My dad who also died young , aged 37, could never have imagined pictures of him would be flying over the net.

As your dad was born in August, the clothing would be suitable for the autumn/winter weather.  1929 is a reasonable date for the photo, so if I were you I would claim it as Dad.
