Smith Family 1841, 1851, 1861, 1871, 1881 Essex

Hi everyone,

I hope someone may be able to help me with the Smith family of Essex (Barking, Startford, Ilford, East Ham).

I believe from looking at parish records my great great great great grandparents were James and Jane Smith who had the following children (all children were baptised in St Margaret's church, Barking, Essex);

Elisabeth Smith baptised 11th October 1795
Margaret May? Smith baptised 9th Sept 1798
James Smith baptised Aug/May 17 1798
William Smith baptised 23rd October 1803
Henry David? Smith baptised 15th June 1806, born 25th December 1805
Charles baptised 17th May 1807
Alfred baptised 10th November 1811

Henry Smith was my great great great grandfather (born 1805, Barking, Essex), and it appears he married Mary Ann from 1841, 1851, 1861 census returns, and had the following children;

Henry Smith born circa 1826/1827
Mary Ann Smith born 1830 Barking, Essex and whom appears to have married a Stephen Smith
James Smith born 1835 Barking, Essex
George Smith born Ilford, Essex
Sarah Smith born Ilford, Essex

George Smith (my great great grandfather) married Catherine Hart in Dec quarter 1860 in Greenwich. From the marriage certificate it lists his father as Henry Smith, a bricklayer.

Are there any census returns (1841, 1851, 1861, 1871 etc) for the other siblings of Henry Smith, or for James and Jane Smith and their respective children in the Barking, East Ham, Ilford, or Starford areas.

I'm not particularly good at researching the English side of my family.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated   :)    :)

Anthony

Thanks Suz  :) :)

Any trace of the other Smith families? Or Jane and James Smith?
