Female French lawn tennis players from the early twentieth century
« on: Sunday 18 December 11 18:13 GMT (UK) »
This thread will be devoted to basic biographical details on female French lawn tennis players from about 1895-1914. I've been searching for basic details, i.e. date and place of birth, date and place of death, husband's name and date and place of marriage for a number of them, but without success.

Here they are, in alphabetical order:

Jacqueline Gallay – married Pierre Liotard-Vogt in 1944
--

Adine Masson – of Canadian origin, daughter of Armand, sister of Willy; listed as Françoise Adine Masson in some sources
--

Jeanne Matthey – know nothing about her early life; had a tennis-playing sister called Cécile and two brothers, one called Fernand (?)

Hélène Prévost – daughter of André; awarded silver medal retroactively for what are now considered 1900 Olympics in Paris, where she was runner-up in the singles event
