I am looking for any infomation on a Richard Ogle, birth date 1873 - married to Margaret Sword born 1876. I would like to find out about his parents and siblings.
I belive he lived in Gateshead in the 1900's but I can't seem to find anything on him in the 1881 census.

Hi Rachandcath,
Welcome to rootschat 8)
I think I can see him living in Gateshead in 1901 as follows:
RG13/4754 114 29
Gateshead, Durham
18 Windsor Avenue
Richard Ogle, head, 28, Police Constable, b. Northumberland Newcastle
Margaret, wife, 23, b. Durham Tyne Dock
Richard, son, 4, b. Gateshead
George, son, 2, b. Gateshead
Doris, dau, 1, b. Gateshead
If this is him, then the 1881 census has a good match for him: RG11/5059 folio 10 page 12
I'll let you have another look because it's more exciting to find them on one's own. (Otherwise come back to me!)
