Title: Long shot re JONES completed
Post by: liverpool lass on Saturday 25 March 06 17:29 GMT (UK)
I have been searching for my husbands G Grandfather. He was William Jones born c 1875 in Llanbradach. As a young man he moved to North Wales to work in a Quarry. He met his wife Mary Evans and moved back to Llanbradach to work in the mine. I have 2 addresses 48, High St and 50 High St both in Llanbradach.

Now for the big question.... Is Llanbradach in Glam, Mon, Ponypridd or?? I can't find it listed in registration districts.

If anyone can help I'd be very grateful!

Hello

I just Googled Llanbradach and came up with:

Llandbradach, Caerphilly, Mid Glamorgan, Monmouthshire, South Wales.

Hope this helps.

Regards ... Sheila

Llanbradach is in the Rhymney Valley, a few miles from Caerphilly. If you want info  on the colliery, try www.welshcoalmines. co.uk
