Hello, all.
I am most eager to learn more of this family (my great grandparents).
Any information at all will be most gratefully appreciated. Parents, siblings, absolutely anything.
The census information from 1901 is all I know of them, other than William being my great grandfather, and Margaret being a County Cork girl.
1901 Census details:
Bookbinders Yd, Oxford. PRO Reference RG/13 1386
William T H aged 41 Musician born Waltham Cross, Herts.
Margaret 45 Cork, Ireland.
William T H 9 Norwich, Norfolk.
Edward H 7 Cardiff, Glamorgan.
Joseph 4 Torquay, Devon.
Thank you for your time and interest...
..... Steven.

Hi Stephen,
The only couple I can find in 1891 at the moment are
6 Castle Street, Northampton All Saints
William Howlett, Head, 32, Hawker, Herts Watford
Margaret Howlett, Wife, 36, Herts Watford
RG12/1202 F 105 Pg 13
The birthplaces are out, but they are about the right age...
Regards, Emma ;)

Just looking at your photo...who was Charlotte Howlett?
Regards, Emma ;)

Thank you, Emma.
I shall look to try to see if they are the same people, somehow.
Charlotte Howlett is my maternal grandmother, born Charlotte Evans in Liverpool, 1896 and sent to Canada during the 'Home Children' programme for underprivileged children, aged 11.
She returned to Liverpool at the age of 19 and met and married William Howlett (the 9yrs-old son in the census) in 1916.
William lost a leg from war wounds in France, 10 days after their wedding, and Charlotte was struck permanently deaf through meningitis at the age of 21.
Brenda (the child on her lap - my mother) is the youngest of her children to William.
William died in the same year that Brenda was born (hence no hubby in the photograph).
Charlotte died in 1974, the year of my first marriage.
She was a wonderful woman, of great courage and resilience, and whose hard-won wisdom was a gift that I shall treasure always, and whose example I carry proudly throughout the trials of my own life.
