Hi,

I'm researching my Dawson line from Australia.  

William James Dawson . abt 1851 in Cork.  Immigrated to Australia (date unknown) and married Barbara Adia Grant on 21 Dec 1911 in South Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.  Williams parents were William James Dawson and Ellen (maiden name unknown).  Any assistance would be appreciated  ;D

Hi, I hope everyone had a good Christmas  ::),

The only extra information I have is that William James Dawson (snr) was married to Ellen WELCH or WELSH.  I managed to decifer this from their son's marriage certificate (15 July 1876 - married at Sandridge, Victoria, Australia.  I accidentally used the wrong date in my previous post - silly me!)  William (snr) was listed as a Saddler.  Their son William (jnr) was born about 1851 in Cork, Ireland.
