I have a William Horsburgh born 29 March 1884, Pittenweem,  Parents Lockhart b 1849 Pittenweem & Catherine Turpie Bowman b 1847 Pittenweem . He married my Catherine Smith born 3 May 1885, Cellardyke on 9 Jan 1914 at Cellerdyke

I'm not Mal ... he is I believe australian ......

I was checking up on my sister in laws family her father was Lockhart Horsburgh and Lockhart was a family name passed down on their branch of the family .... the site linked above actually gives a story about how the name came into being.

My sister in law has also spoken about cousins named Bowman ... Cellardyke was also I believe her fathers birthplace.

My mother is Doris Horsburgh born in Glasgow 79yrs old today. We live in Caanda. Her mother was Mary Horsburgh and dad Joseph Horsburgh. Hope this helps. Bryan
