It looks like 1880 to me, but the handwriting on this page is pretty cramped and difficult to read.  Here's the original.

Dortmund, do you want more US censuses for these people or do you want the English census information?

Here is the 1900 Census

Milwaukee Ward 17, Milwaukee, Wisconsin

186 Williams Street
Head: Enoch FIELD 42 - b  Eng Aug 1857, married 22 yrs, Imm 1884, Masons Helper - Day Labourer
Wife: Manwella FIELD 41 - b Eng Feb 1859, married 22 yrs, Imm 1884, birthed 10 children - 8 still living.
Son: Enoch FIELD 20 - b Eng Jan 1880, single, Imm 1884, Masons Helper - Day Labourer
Dau: Ada FIELD 18 - b Eng Sep 1881, single, Imm 1884
Son: Charles C FIELD 16 - b Eng 1883, Imm 1884 - Carrying in at Glass Works
Dau: Lottie FIELD 14, b Wisc. Mar  1886, At School
Son: Thomas A FIELD 12 - b Wisc Jul 1887, At School
Son: George A FIELD 9 - b Wisc. Jul 1880**, At School
Dau: Florence A FIELD 7 - b Wisc. Aug 1882**, At School
Son: Frederick A FIELD 2 - b Wisc. Aug 1887**

Then next on the same page (indexed as CAWSIER)
188 Williams Street
Head: Charles CAUSER 56** - b Eng Nov 1843**, married 43 yrs, Imm 1881, 19 yrs in US, PA*, Mason Helper
Wife: Catherine CAUSER 56** - b Eng Jul 1843**, married 43 yrs, Imm 1881, 19 yrs in US, has birthed 11 children, 4 still living.
Son: Charles CAUSER 24 (sic) - b Eng 1875, imm 1881, 19 yrs in US, PA*, Masons Helper.

Often ages and birth dates, and Imm Year & Nr of yrs in US,  don't match on 1900 Census - has to do with arithmetic the enumerator had to perform when transferring data from his House Schedule to the book proper - they often got it a bit wrong!! The youngest 3 FIELD children clearly born in 1890's not 1880's.

PA = Has first papers toward Naturalisation.

In 1910 Census, Enoch FIELD Snr and family - are on the page before Charles & Catherine CAUSER (as provided by Erato, earlier)
Milwaukee Ward 17, Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Head: Enoch FIELD 52, b Eng, Imm 1884, Naturalised, Brick Mason - Brickyard
Wife: Manvilla FIELD 51, b England, Imm 1884, Birthed 11 children, 9 still living. Married 31 years.
Son: Frederick FIELD 13, b Wisc.
Dau: Daisey E FIELD 89, b Wisc.

Here is Enoch & Family entry into the US:

SS GERMANIC
Departed Liverpool, Arrived New York 11 May 1885
Manifest page 4, Passengers 165 to
Enoch FIELD 27, miner**
Mrs FIELD 27. wife
Enoch FIELD 4, Child
Edith FIELD 2 Child
Chas. FIELD 10 mth, Infant
They are English, last residence  Liverpool, are  "Thru" passengers )ie: passing thru NY, and have 4 pieces of luggage.

Enoch's occupation is a ditto mark, under the person above him listed as a mINER.

Cheers

Charles was my G-G-Grandfather. I noticed from your post that you are researching the Ware family from Wisconsin. I have a Leroy Ware b. 7 Feb 1912, married Dorothy M Carr.  By any chance is this part of your clan?

Hi Kathy -

Welcome to RootsChat.  Is your question addressed to me?  My Ware ancestors were from Maine; gg grandfather Cyrus H. Ware and his family went out to Outagamie County, Wisconsin in about 1850.  But there was no one named Leroy.

Dear "Cousin",

Having just 'found' 'Uncle John's' wife to be Ann Matilda Causier - I now see where you fit in to my family tree (I belong to Annie Carr 1871).  It also explains why when I was clearing out my Great Aunt's posessions after she died 9in the 80's) I found a beautiful & huge brouchure for Forest Lawn Cemetery (looking like it was from around the 1930/40's).  Although I must say that the photo I have of "John & Annie" taken "in another corner of our living room" did not lead me to expect them to be in America - just goes to show - they must have gone back after 1901.  In fact I thought I'd found a further record of John coming back to England later on - I'll have another look if you like

I am the 2nd Great Granddaughter of Charles Causier and Catharine Hughes. Conducting research on this line since the 1970's.  I met another researcher - SHESEEKS who happens to be the 2nd Great Granddaughter of Charles and Catharine too.  It was very nice for all who provided such indepth material to her.  I already had the information, but it was good to cross reference my old notes again. Amazing all the material that is now found on line, where as years ago, we waited for films to arrive before we could even hope to locate anything.  And the old microfilm and filch machines were deplorable at best.

There is a Causier group on Facebook and all are welcome to join. We try to work together, with one goal--UNITE   There are wonderful pictures posted as well.

THANKS AGAIN

John and Annie left lIverpool Sept. 8, 1907, arrived America 15 Sept. 1907. They went back to Bay View, Milwaukee, Wisconsin to join their son, Charles who arrived from England in 1905. Charles married his cousin Charlotte Field in Bay View.  They quickly move to White Pine, Nevada. This family moves and visits often from Wisconsin and Nevada and then Utah and then California, USA

I am a Hughes, of a line of hugheses from Wood Street, Tipton.

Can I help at all?

I have a great uncle Jack (John?) Hughes, born in Wood Street.

My dad:  Peter Hughes
Grandad:  William Hughes
Gr. Grandad:  Stephen Hughes

Hi, I am the 2nd Great Granddaughter of Catherine Hughes married to Charles Causier

If you think you are related, please contact me
Catherine Hughes was born May 15, 1837 in Tipton, Staffordshire, England
BAPTISM-CHRISTENING: Catherine was baptized July 23, 1837, at St. Thomas Parish, in Dudley, Worcester, England. (Dudley parish is within the boundaries of Staffordshire, but ecclesiastically Dudley Parish is part of Worcester.  Two churches in Dudley are St. Thomas and St. Edmond.  They were combined by 1831 to St. Thomas.  Hence, Catherine was born in Stafford, but Christened in Worcester.     Parish of birth is listed as Tipton, Staffordshire, England. (FHL-ref.1342103 pg.18)

Christening records were also located for this Hughes family on the Family History Library-International Genealogical Index computer records.
Children of Lydia and John Hughes:
Matilda, 1 Feb. 1830
Thomas, 10 Mar. 1833
Henry, 7 Sep. 1834
Catherine, 23 July, 1837

The following census records state that Catharine Hughes was born in Staffordshire, England.  She was baptised in Dudley, Worcester, which was within the boundaries of Staffordshire, England.  However, when Catherine's daughter, Anna Matilda Causier, Carr died in 1940 California, USA, her death certificate stated that her mother: Catherine Hughes was born in Bangor Hall, Wales!  Nobody seems to know where this bit of information came from.
