Hi
I'm looking for Margaret Isaac b1784 in Glamorgan.
In 1841 she was (widowed) and living at Bryn Melyn, Swansea with her daughter Martha who married in 1846.
regards
Patricia
Amendment:
On having a second look at the 1841 census the name is Margaret and not Mary

I searched the Glam 1851 but i am afraid she does not seem to be on it. Its possible that she had already died. I searched various spellings and age ranges but nothing. Sorry!
???

Was Isaac her married name? If so, do you know her maiden name? If it's her maiden name, do you know her husband's name?
Gareth
Sorry, just realised that it was the 1851 lookup you wanted, so of course it's her married name! I was just wondering if I could help with baptism or marriage details, but you may already have them.

Hi badgirl
Thanks for looking. It seems she may have died before 1851 as there is a death for Margaret Isaac on Freebmd for 1850.

Hi Gareth
Isaac was her married name, as yet I don't know her maiden name. I have sent off for the marriage certificate of her daughter Martha Isaac b 1818 in Swansea and she married married William Davies in 1846 in Swansea. From that I'll be able to find out the husband of Margaret.
If you are able to look up that marriage it would be appreciated.
I would also be interested in the baptism of Martha.
regards
Patricia

I have PM'd (copyright) you baptism details that i think may be a possibilty. Without a Groom's names the marriage has 3/4 possibilities.
doh just realised i looked for mary. Will try again!!!!

Ok when looking for Martha not Margaret or Mary, cannot see a baptism possibility but again 3/4 for a marriage.
Got confused by the two names in first post! LOL

I couldn't find a Martha Isaac among the baptisms. There was a Margaret, baptised 21 May 1818 in Llansamlet parish, which is in the Swansea area. I suppose she could (just) have been a Margaret who was known as Martha. But this one's mother was Mary, rather than Margaret ( father was Thomas, a labourer, and they lived at Tynyfron).
Not too many of the entries have the mother's name included, and the only Margaret Isaac I found was married to a John and had three children around that period, but no Martha - and they were in Eglwysilan parish.
Looks as though we've drawn a blank there, I'm afraid, but when you get Martha's marriage cert I can try again for her parents' wedding.
